Plum tries unsuccessfully to force Scooter off of her chair by jumping up on the chair with her. This moment was followed by Scooter ignoring said attempt and Plum trying to figure out how to get herself OFF of the chair. THAT maneuver took much skill and at least three minutes of strategizing.

Maybe Plum thought there was room enough for the both of them?
well maybe Plum thought so, but Scooter does not go for sharing of prime real estate. There is a constant battle over that chair ALL DAY LONG. THE SECOND one of them gets off (to get water, go out, etc.), the other one jumps up. They race for it when they come in, or after greeting someone coming home, or barking at the mailman. This was a first, though... like it had just occurred to Plum that this tactic could work. The funny thing was that Scooter's face and body movements (or lack thereof) didn't EVER register the attempt.
